Review of 10k race - 17 March 2018

It was a beautiful day for the Benbecula 10k: sunny but cold with a breezy southerly wind, which for the 10k runners was a head-wind from the off.  We had 24 runners and 8 walkers for the race, lower than our previous 10k, this is due to other events on the island.  We had a very successful day with everyone finishing in good time. We had a first time 10k-er - well done to Mary Walker for doing the run - not too bad a time either!  We also had our first Mums and Tots on the 10k, Sarah and baby Mark and Joan and wee Seonaidh, both did really well.

As usual we would like to thank everyone who assisted us on the day, the Ambulance and Police Service, the Coastguard, all the volunteers who assist us on the day to get things ready and to everyone who donated baking for the runners buffet.  It is all very much appreciated by us on the committee.

We have uploaded the photos to the Facebook page, so have a wee look and feel free to tag anyone you know. The full results can be downloaded here.
